A small group of bird lovers got together in May to support the wonderful Raptor Rehabilitation Centre in Ashburton. The show was great, and the feeding of the vultures had us enthralled - by that I mean, many many clicks and many many photos to process! Besties below...
OUTING | KENMO LAKE | APRIL 2021
How keen are you? To leave at 4am to get to Kenmo Lake by 6am (to set up and get ready for that sunrise) it's out of bed at 3am...
17 intrepid adventurers came along - a bit nervous as there had been protests in the area, and the roads were reported to be in an horrific condition. We did, however, have up-to-date news coming from several members concerning the blockades, it all looked good, so off we went! The roads we really fine, only one burst tyre (don't worry, a gang of manly men sorted that out!).
It's always a bit of a guess to get to Kenmo "at the right time" - a few trees were already bare, while others had not started turning yet... below are our "besties" from a great day out!

Our club was asked to visit Hilton College in April, to take and submit photos for the annual Hilton College magazine (The Hiltonian) - thanks to all members who did - the Hiltonian has been published on the HC website, but is still to be printed...
